September Update from our Executive Director

Dear Neighbors,

The warm days of summer are coming to a close. But for those in our community suffering from hunger, homelessness, or addiction there is no close to their season of pain and despair.  Thank God this ministry is blessed with the burden of reaching out to those in our community experiencing the pains and sorrows that stem from these often crippling realities.  Thank God for individuals such as you who help Neighbors of Hope fulfill its calling of compassionate care to these neighbors of ours most in need.

What a blessed burden it is to be able to feed more than 30,000 families with over 1.5 million pounds of food through our feeding ministry—Fishes & Loaves Food Pantry.  What a blessed burden it is to provide biblical hospitality to some 1200 strangers in our community who have come to us homeless by sharing a warm meal, a clean bed, a hot shower, fresh clothes, and the hope of Christ through our—Fresh Start transitional housing program.  What a blessed burden it is to offer the broken and weak addict the healing of Christ Jesus and witness life transformation right before our eyes as our LifeChange program has done for so many.  And now, amid these economic hard times, we are blessed with the burden of blessing our neighbors with affordable clothing that otherwise might not be obtainable to them through our resale ministry—Blessings & More.

Indeed, there are no seasons for the pain, sorrow, misery, and hopelessness of those whom this ministry serves Jesus among—the hungry, homeless, addicted, and disenfranchised.  But healing and hope are being offered to them like a beacon of light in a dark storm every day.  Neighbors of Hope is truly honored and humbled to be blessed with this burden.  I pray you will continue to support what God is doing through this ministry.  Your gift blesses this ministry and without it, it would not be possible for us, in turn, to bless these neighbors in need.  Please consider making a generous donation today.  Your gift helps provide hope to someone who needs it.  Thank you and God bless.

In Service to Christ,

Pastor Steven Palmer
