July update from our Executive Director
Dear Neighbors,
The summer of 2023 is well underway. This is a time of year when we see the needs of our hurting neighbors so often go overlooked or forgotten about. As I look back over our seventeen-plus years of ministry, I am amazed at how many lives we have impacted with the Gospel, all because generous and caring people like you helped to make sure the needs of our neighbors were not forgotten.
My prayer as we go forward is to continue to show God’s loving care to the hurting and lost so that we can continue to make a difference in people’s lives. Lives like Dan’s:
“I had come to believe that after two failed marriages, multiple drunk driving charges, and two drug-related heart attack operations, I had become a hopeless alcoholic. I lived in fear; afraid of the authorities, afraid of the doctor’s reports, afraid to make friends, and most of all, afraid of God. With information from one of the treatment centers that would no longer help me, I was directed to Neighbors of Hope. I came here out of desperation, without any hope left. Yet here I have learned to embrace a Jesus who loves me and hasn’t given up on me! I always thought miracles were long ago and far away. I have always been a believer in Christ, and now I am learning to be a disciple of Jesus, to have real purpose and positive direction.”
Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your partnership to make the love of Jesus personal and visible to our hurting neighbors like Dan. I pray you continue to support this ministry and its transformative impact on people’s lives. God bless you.
Serving Christ,
Pastor Steven Palmer
