July update from our Executive Director
Dear Neighbors,
The summer of 2024 is officially here. This is the time of year when we see the needs of our hurting, hungry, and homeless neighbors so often go overlooked or forgotten about, especially now as the economic impact of high inflation continues to affect us all. Here at Neighbors of Hope, we experience an increase in operation costs while donor giving declines, all while the need for our services increases.
That is why I am asking for your help. As I look back over our eighteen-plus years of ministry, I am amazed at how many lives we have been able to impact with the Gospel, all because generous and caring people like you helped to make sure the needs of our neighbors were not forgotten. Our ministries are vital to our community and we need to continue to show God’s loving care to the hurting and lost so that healing and hope continue to make a difference in people’s lives. Lives like Luke’s*:
“My life was full of one failure after another. I had hurt everyone who loved me through my criminal and addictive behaviors, especially my family. I felt so alone in this big world with no place to turn. Then I found Neighbors of Hope, and since being here I have not only been living clean and sober, secured employment, and begun reconciling with my family, but I have also come to know God’s love for me and I no longer feel ashamed and alone.”
Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your partnership to make the love of Jesus personal and visible to our hurting neighbors like Luke*. I pray you continue to support this ministry and its transformative impact on people’s lives. God bless you.
In Service to Christ,
Pastor Steven Palmer
Executive Director
