Update from our Executive Director
Dear Neighbors,
Here we are, nearly halfway through this summer of 2021. So much has happened, especially over these past seventeen months! As I look back over the fifteen-plus years since we began, I’m amazed at how many lives we have been able to impact with the Gospel. And no one paid a dime for any of the help we provided. The funds came from generous and caring people like you.
My prayer as we go forward is to continue to show God’s loving care to the hungry, the homeless and the lost so that we can continue to make a difference in people’s lives. Lives like Dan’s:
“I had come to believe that after two failed marriages, multiple drunk driving charges, and two drug-related heart attack operations I had become a hopeless alcoholic. I lived in fear; afraid of the authorities, afraid of the doctor’s reports, afraid to make friends, and most of all, afraid of God. With information from one of the treatment centers that would no longer help me, I was directed to Neighbors of Hope. I came here out of desperation, without any hope left. Yet here I have learned to embrace a Jesus who loves me and hasn’t given up on me! I always thought miracles were long ago and far away. I have always been a believer in Christ and now I am learning to be a disciple of Jesus, to have real purpose and positive direction.”
Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your partnership to make the love of Jesus personal and visible to our hurting neighbors like Dan. I pray you continue to support this ministry and the transformative impact it is making in people’s lives.
Thank you and God bless.
