Update from our Executive Director
Dear Neighbors,
It’s happening! I am thrilled to share with you the good news that, despite the challenges we faced in 2020, Neighbors of Hope has been awarded a $199,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati. This grant ensures the completion of the renovations to our new Men’s Ministry facility on Riverside Avenue in Adrian.
Since our departure from our birth house on Broad Street two years ago we have strived to raise funds to secure a new location and complete the necessary renovations to that site. All along, we have sustained our Christ-centered programming and services to men experiencing homelessness and/or the pains of addiction. And now, through this new facility, we will reach more of this vulnerable population with food, safe shelter, and the life-transforming power of Jesus Christ.
This has been a long process. At times, it felt like it might not happen. But with a lot of patience, persistence, and prayer, the journey is paying off. In a few short months, we will start moving men in. What a blessing it will be!
While this is happening, all the services for the Men’s Ministry will continue as usual. And despite all of the challenges of 2020, the Lord is truly working at Neighbors of Hope. We see it as more men turn their lives over to Him. They overcome addictions, gain new job skills, and ultimately grow closer to their Savior, Jesus Christ.
I want to thank you for supporting us, especially this past year, in our efforts to impact the lives of the lost, hungry, and hurting in our community. You have touched so many lives through your support of Neighbors of Hope. Whether you provided a meal, clothing, or funding, you made a difference in someone’s life. I pray you will continue to support this life-transforming ministry in 2021.
Thank you for caring.
